In collaboration with Thirst Magazine, The Rum Bar KL organised a Phraya Rum tasting event – A Date with Phraya on 2nd November 2017 (Thursday), 7-9 p.m. at The Rum Bar KL. Phraya rum originated from the Kingdom of Thailand; which is distilled, matured, blended and bottled there and distributed by Interbev to the global market.
The event featured a rum tasting session conducted by Matt Wright. Serving as the Market Development Manager of Interbev, Matt originally based in Scotland. He is now based in Hong Kong and focusing on the North Asia Market. Matt was invited to join the “Keepers of the Quaich” recently, an exclusive society which recognises extraordinary commitment and service to Scotch Whisky around the world.
Aside from that, attendees enjoyed Phraya rum cocktails and canapé pairings that brings out the best of both worlds. The amazing combinations were available for one day only, on the 2nd November 2017 (Thursday) at the rum haven in the heart of KL city centre.
The Rum Bar KL is home to the largest rum collection in Malaysia with over 250 selections of rums distilled around the globe from fermented molasses or freshly pressed sugar cane juice.
