Cocktails, tapas and rum, in the heart of the city centre but feeling a world away. This unique restaurant and bar is located along the streets of Changkat Bukit Bintang, KL. One of the best place to dine in KL and frequented by local and tourists. The menu has a great selection of tapas, featuring meats (Albondigas Iberico), seafood (Gambas Al Ajillo) and vegetarian (Tortilla Espanola) options.
The Rum Bar KL is a perfect rendition of Cuba, serving tapas-style food, more than three hundred labels of rum and cocktails and Cuban cigars.
Tapas remains a perverse concept in Malaysia, where it is commonly taken as the whole meal, rather than, as in Spain, a standing up, not to say walkabout, activity. Yet when it is this good, who cares? We had a series of knock-out dishes, all beautifully presented when dining in KL.
Roasted Iberico Lamb Ribs was fabulous and the meat is exclusively available at Werner’s Group of restaurants in Malaysia. Likewise, Iberico secreto skewers, shredded pork tacos and escargot with bone marrow butter all went down like a dream with a sip of rum. Our server also recommended the Chorizo Slider: juicy, tender meat sandwiched between perfectly toasted buns.
Many of our customers told us that they had a really lovely time at The Rum Bar KL and have now firmly added it to their list of Spanish restaurants to dine in KL. The friendly and efficient service is a definite plus! They said they will back again for dinner in The Rum Bar, KL.
